Born in Boston, Stanley Rabinovitz ז״ל settled in Brookline with his wife Marlene in 1956, together raising 5 daughters here. A veteran of the Korean War, Stanley was first elected to Town Meeting in 1971 and served as Constable from 1977 until his passing in 2020. After leading the reconstruction of the Young Israel of Brookline following the tragic fire of 1994, he was named—and still remains—its honorary president. Stanley was also deeply involved with the Religious Zionists of America, Magen David Adom, and Israel Bonds. The Rabinovitz family assisted many other local organizations including New England Hebrew Academy and Congregation Chai Odom.
