Bnei Akiva Brookline Activities

YIB welcomes Bnei Akiva Shlichim, Shira and Yedidya Meuchas, from Sderot, and their children, Nave and Maayan, to our community. Shira and Yedidya have join our shul team to enrich youth programming and Israel/Israeli programming at YIB, and we are so happy to partner with Maimonides Kehillah to create Bnei Akiva Brookline that will provide programming for the entire Brookline area. Shira and Yedidya will also be teaching at Maimonides School, and we thank Maimonides School for their partnership to make this exciting initiative a reality. Parents, you’re invited to join the Bnei Akiva WhatsApp group for updates about upcoming activities! Please note, there’s also a group for high school teens. Share the link with your teen.

Hazon Program

6th-8th graders stay tuned for the next Hazon Program. It’s a great chance to learn something new, get together with friends, and be part of something bigger! 


Chevraya Bet Program

8th-12th graders are invited for Friday night dinner at the Meuchas home. 

Friday, March 20th.

We'll meet for Mincha and Maariv at Maimonides at 6:45 PM, and walk together to the Meuchas home.

Manhigut Program – for 9th Graders

9th graders, Our next Manhigut session is going to be AMAZING! We’re going to hear from Bill Adler, co-founder/Advisor and former CEO @ True Fit;  and currently co-founder and co-CEO @ Trust Capital Partners, investing in top Israeli entrepreneurs building a “Digital Iron Dome.” He will also share about the behind-the-scenes of a start-up's growth.

Come curious and ready with great questions!

We’ll meet on Sunday, March 22,  at 7:45 PM at the Meuchas’s home.


Snif Program

After a successful and exciting first Snif, we are happy to invite you to Bnei Akiva of Brookline's next Snif on Shabbat Parshat Tzav, March 28, at 5:00 PM at Maimonides Kehillah. 

Children in grades 2–6 are invited to a fun and awesome activity with our amazing madrichim. 

Pick-up at 6:00 PM.

Announcements


Shira and Yedidya Meuchas

Yedidya Meuchas is a teacher and educator, especially passionate about Tanach. He has taught elementary and middle school, coordinated after-school activities, and organized youth programs. He is a musician at heart, and looks forward to playing with all the musicians in Brookline!

Shira Meuchas is a project manager and community coordinator, including her experience at the International Resilience Center in Sderot, where she worked with Birthright programs and other community and student programs. She loves connecting people, meaningful conversations — and good food!

They are very excited about meeting the Brookline community and making many close friends!
