About our Hospitality Program

Our Young Israel has a proud tradition of hospitality to new arrivals, area students, singles and out-of-town guests passing through our community. Members are happy to have guests for Shabbat or Yom Tov meals, often on short notice. It's one way we fulfill the mitzvah of hachnasat orchim. If you are available and interested, give us the opportunity of hosting you for a Shabbat or Yom Tov meal.; or, feel free to approach one of our guest facilitators who are identified from the pulpit, following services.

On any given Shabbat, one can find guests in our shul from anywhere in the world. They may be in Brookline on business, attending a conference or seminar, visiting family, or simply taking advantage of the many tourist attractions Massachusetts and New Hampshire have to offer. Guests requiring overnight accommodations have many choices to select from within our immediate area.
