In the 12 years they have lived in Brookline, Jennifer and Amiel Weinstock have made a lasting impact on the Young Israel community. Amiel, a current Board Member, served as Membership Chair and initiated the New Members Welcome Dinner as well as personally recruited and cultivated dozens of new members. Amiel, a senior associate at KL Gates, is always available to advise on any sensitive legal matter which the shule may face. Jennifer, currently a Vice-President & Programming Chair, has organized several events including Chagigot, Community Luncheons, the annual Mother's Day Oneg and has assumed a leadership role in the shule's annual Mishlo'ach Manot fundraiser.
Ethan Berger may be popularly known for his co-anchoring the Seuda Shlisheet set-up and clean-up, but his greatest contribution to YIB has been his behind-the-scenes managing of our office technology programs, including a complete revamping of our hardware and operating systems and installing our very effective OneCallNow telephone calling system. Beyond that, Ethan serves as co-Financial Secretary and has been involved with Mishlo'ach Manot and high holiday seating.
Josh Alge has been an active group leader for the past four years, including both our Shabbat morning groups and our Shabbat afternoon Bnei Akiva snif. Beyond that, Josh has always been among the first to help with preparing for, running, and cleaning up after both youth and adult events. Our Teen Minyan gabbai, Eli Zimble, has been responsible for planning and assigning kriat haTorah and divrei Torah, in addition to running the minyan itself. His encouragement and care have resulted in a wonderful opportunity for our teenagers to lead and participate in tefillah betzibbur and grow into active participants in our regular minyanim.
